Out of Order

Out of order...
but every fracture is a chance to rebuild anew
If only these eyes could behold,

If only this story was ever told.

A void that longs to be filled.

A heart that yearns to be thrilled.

To you, it's silence,

But it couldn't be louder--

Forlorn, forgotten... and perhaps forever,

Angel eyes, now out of order.

Whose problem weighs more heavily? A toddler whose toy was snatched? A final-year student failing an exam? A man who’s lost all his savings? Or a homeless person who hasn’t eaten in days?

Too heavy? Let’s switch gears!

Who’s the happiest? A toddler trying ice cream for the first time? A final-year student passing a dreaded exam? A man winning the lottery? Or a homeless person enjoying their first full meal in days?

It’s hard to say, right? Because there’s no scale for comparing pain or pleasure. What feels monumental to one person may seem trivial to another. And that’s the fascinating thing about emotions—they’re deeply personal, shaped by our own unique experiences and perspectives.

Emotions ebb and flow, much like the tide. Sometimes, sadness crashes down on us like a roaring wave, while other times, joy washes over us like a soft, calming breeze. Both are part of life’s rhythm, and to truly live fully, we need to embrace them both.

If you’re waiting for the storm of pain to magically dissolve into a warm breeze of happiness, it’s worth pausing. Can we really compare one person’s joy to another’s? Not really. Life doesn’t work like that. We go through moments of struggle, but they often clear the way for something brighter. So, embrace the melancholy, for it always leaves room for hope to follow.

Out of order... but every fracture is a chance to rebuild anew.
